My guide to slow looking, a video for Virtual Slow Art Day

Updated: Apr 21

Slow Art Day is an international celebration of the Slow Art movement, championing the ideas of contemplation and slow looking. Hundreds of galleries, museums and art organisations, such as MoMA, Tate Moder or Photographer's Gallery that part in every year. This year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the event was moved online.

I oversaw, hosted and participated, as speaker, in a virtual event that brought together the two art organisations that I am associated with - ONE Project and artBLAB.

Here is my talk about THE ART OF SLOW LOOKING, a mini guide to how to look to see more! Watch it before you rush off to the nearest museum when the pandemic is all over!

It was recorded for #artBLABonline and can be also watched on the artBLAB's IGTV.

My talk was also used a reference for students of University of Arts in Poznan, Poland.

Hillary Farrow and Hazel Bingham, two students at OCA (Open Collage of the Arts, the University of Creative Arts) participated in the event and wrote a blog posts about my talk!
